Beach Rules »
Rules are posted at each of the beaches including the Town Beach. When you're within the Cape Cod National Seashore it's important to be aware that National Seashore Park Rangers do patrol and closely monitor the park. During the Summer of 2007 National Seashore Park Rangers began suspiciously hiding in the bushes spying on beach- goers, just waiting to spring into action, while others were walking the beach in plain clothes issuing citations for sunbathing without clothes and other very minor violations. Our dogs love to go to the beach, but the Rangers have also been known to issue tickets for having your dog off leash at the beach, even in the water. It's important to be aware of your surroundings, and be aware of the laws. National Seashore Park Rangers have arresting authority (and it goes right to their heads) they're very serious about their jobs, they can go from zero to unreasonable in just seconds. Be aware and be cautious of the National Seashore Park Rangers.
